the latest edition | phoenix newborn photographer

I have been photographing her big sister for several years now, so it is quite exciting to get to introduce you to the newest member of the family.  She is equally gorgeous and adorable.  In fact, I really didn’t want to put her down, but I could not figure out a good way to photograph her while holding her.  She is just so sweet.

remember them? | phoenix family photographer

When I started this post, I was feeling kind of guilty for not sharing the photos from this session earlier. But then, I decided it was fun to get to look back at the beginning of the summer and remember how much fun we had. Honestly, this family makes my job so easy. blogcollage

back from break | phoenix family photographer

First off, sorry for all the crickets chirping around here lately.  When our temps are consistently over the century mark, you will be shocked to learn that people don’t want to be outdoors taking photos.  And honestly, that was completely OK with me.  Keeping up with my 2 girls all summer was activity enough for awhile.

But now, summer vacation seems like a distant memory.  BOTH girls are in school this year.  Quinn is attending preschool a few mornings a week and Amelia has officially embarked on her academic career: KINDERGARTEN!

blogcollage(wow – a photo of me actually made it on here. ;-) )

We are now 2 weeks into the school routine and everyone seems to be settling in nicely.  And work for me has been really ramping up.  I can start to see from here to Christmas. (Be on the lookout for news about Holiday session bookings…something I have been dragging my feet on as I made some decisions about the way I wanted to format that this year…)

Please stick around the blog.  I will show off some sessions from the beginning of summer that I never shared.  And I have 2 adorable newborns you will all want to look at.  Most of all, thanks for letting me get away with a real summer break.

They are as cute as their parents, don’t you think?

web7 Honestly, I could go on and on about this lovely family, but I think I will just share instead.

one hot mama | phoenix maternity photographer

Literally and figuratively. The mom-to-be is beautiful. Plus, it was 110 degrees out yesterday and we decided to take some shots in the middle of the desert. (coming soon) Thanks for being such a trooper!

in black and white | phoenix family photographer

While looking back at this session, I noticed so many of my favorites are in black and white.

DSC_6166bwDSC_6129bwDSC_6133bwDSC_6116bwDSC_6160bwI certainly adore bright bold color (as I am sure you can gather from some of my other sessions), but these just popped out at me.  Such an adorable family in such beautiful light made these black and whites work really well.  Thanks for the fabulous photo shoot you 4.  I had a great time!
