Hoping all the mom’s out there are having a wonderful day. Especially this first time mom (& dad) whose little guy arrived just over a week ago. Best present ever.

These two siblings are not close in age. However, it appears to be the only way in which they are not. Their bond is so genuine and heartfelt, it absolutely made me smile.

Just for fun: Brother, nearly 2 1/2 years ago. Little Sister.

I can’t tell you how honored I was to get to fly to Texas to take this little guy’s photos. I’d been anticipating his arrival and he certainly met up to all expectations. (And by the way he reacted when he saw me, I’m pretty sure the feeling was mutual.
) If there wasn’t an entire state separating us, I’d say that all was perfect. Just look at the perfection below:

Stunning is the most appropriate word I can use to describe this new little girl. Oh, and lucky. Not only does she have 2 loving, doting parents, but she is blessed with an attentive Grandma too. Anytime she let out a little cry, all three were quick to reassure her. It was such a sweet thing to watch. (These kinds of things are the perks of my job. I guess I’m the lucky one too.)

I’ve been absent and greedy. Not very worthy traits. But I will make up for it by showing you what I have been keeping for myself.
Alllllllllll these lovely families from the past few months.

Ok, do you forgive me?
I just realized I never got around to sharing two wonderful summer sessions for two amazing repeat client families. Hard to believe we were sweating like mad at these sessions, now that our weather has made a turn towards Fall.

I just loved working with this family. (And it certainly didn’t hurt that their new little guy is so precious.) During our session, they told me that they considered renting a Golden Retriever, just to round out the “family portrait.” (joke, people) A sense of humor will give you an A+ in my book, no rent-a-pets needed.

1 incredibly talented friend + 1 laid-back beautiful model + Desert Botanical Gardens + Summer morning rain showers + coffee = a decidedly fun photoshoot. (In all honesty, I would subtract the humid 100 degree temps and then this would equal the perfect photoshoot.)

Back to school! We were all excited. Things that were exciting:
